Another act of vandalism has ended in several broken solar lamps littering another playground, leaving behind shards of flexible and glass in West Kelowna Sunday afternoon.

Around 1 t. m. emergency crews responded to reports of glass littering a play area near the 2100 block of Sunview Drive in West Kelowna. A first time reports were that glass seemed to be embedded in the slide.

When the To the west Kelowna fire department arrived, the person discovered several solar lamps was in fact stolen from nearby homes as well as the smashed in and around the playground.

People of the West Kelowna fire technicians collected all the broken pieces and spot everything they found in the waste products.

RCMP claim the incident is not reported to them and it is not known regardless whether any of the shards were actually embedded the slide.

Cst. Kris Clark perhaps this isn't the first time something like this has established itself, but he doesn't believe definitely done maliciously.

"Typically over the weekend playgrounds tend to be hangouts for older younger, and then of course when booze is simply involved silly things tend to acquire place, " explains Clark. "It's sad because playgrounds are used quite extensively caused by children who are completely innocent. "

Bernice Calder, who lives in the world and brings her grandson with your park to play, was concerned unquestionably the broken pieces could have seriously cause harm to a child.

Rob Earl lives up the street from the park together heard there was broken glass discovered at the playground.

He says he last winter had several lawn ornaments cloned from his home, but the killed ones at the park were not their particular.

"I would be really surprised the glass would be in the slide, What i'm saying is, that is just cruel that particular person would even consider doing that. "

Earl says the neighbourhood is fairly a great and his family has never had any kind problems at the park in the past.

As stated by Clark, the culprits involved in occurrences like these are usually never caught, and asks that if people see a person thing suspicious in their neighbourhood to contact unquestionably the RCMP.
