Q&A: Why you should pace the 70. 3 and Ironman bike
Question: What percent paid of my power threshold breath analyzer plan on pacing the bike ankle of a half ironman? How about the whole Ironman?

Answer: The zero per cent of power threshold that someone else should plan on pacing the motor cycle leg of any long-distance rush is different based mainly on familiarity. For my Half-Ironman distance professional athletes I like to see them be out of 80-85% of their threshold, and for Chock-full distance 68-78% of threshold that has beginners being around the lower end to the range.
I also want the patient to ride at a consistent dominance output with the difference between normal power and normalised power feeling as close to zero as possible (e. g., no spikes in dominance for hills or sprints). You should also consider, I have my athletes do the training rides of race range using their projected target % for threshold to test it out with rush day gear and nutrition, and thus changes can be made if need be.
